Headlight Restoration
Headlight Restoration in
Orlando, FL
Cloudy, yellowed headlights don't just look worn — they cut how far your headlights actually reach at night. We restore the lens to optical clarity and seal it against UV so the fog doesn't come back next summer.

What's included
Headlight Restoration options
Full inspection of both lenses, masking of surrounding paint and trim, multi-stage wet sanding to remove the oxidized layer, and machine polishing bring the lens back to optical clarity — then a System X Glass+ ceramic topcoat is applied to both lenses, included in every restoration, so the fog doesn't come back next summer. Priced per vehicle as a pair.
Why it matters
What you're actually dealing with
Headlight lenses are polycarbonate plastic with a thin factory UV coating on top — once that coating burns off, the bare plastic oxidizes and that haze doesn't wash off.
UV breaks down the coating
Florida sun burns through the factory UV coating faster than almost anywhere else, and once it's gone the bare polycarbonate starts to oxidize.
Light output drops
A hazy lens scatters and absorbs light instead of projecting it, measurably cutting how far your headlights reach on a dark road.
Car looks older than it is
Cloudy lenses are one of the fastest ways a well-kept vehicle reads as neglected, even when everything else is clean.
DIY kits relapse fast
Drugstore kits can knock down haze temporarily, but without real wet-sanding and a protective topcoat, most relapse within months.

How it works
Our process
Inspect
We check both lenses for oxidation depth, hairline cracks and moisture intrusion before starting — restoration won't fix a failed seal, so we flag that upfront if we see it.
Mask
Surrounding paint, trim and badges are taped off so sanding stays contained to the lens itself.
Wet sand
We work through a progression of increasingly fine grits, wet-sanded, to cut through the oxidized layer without introducing new scratches.
Machine polish
A dedicated polishing pass refines the sanded lens back to a clear, glass-like finish.
Seal
System X Glass+ ceramic topcoat is applied to both lenses to slow the next round of oxidation and add hydrophobic protection — included in every restoration, not an upsell.
Pricing
Starting prices
Starting at $110 for the pair — final price depends on oxidation severity and vehicle. We'll confirm exact pricing at inspection.

Good to know
How long the result lasts
Factory headlights yellow because UV breaks down the thin coating the manufacturer sprayed on the plastic. Sanding and polishing removes that damaged layer and gets the clarity back — but bare polycarbonate with nothing over it will start yellowing again, and in Florida sun that happens faster than most places. That's why every restoration we do is sealed with a System X Glass+ ceramic topcoat, which typically holds up for up to 2 years, rather than left bare or finished with a spray sealant.
